I knew Jim well and had several classes with him at WHS. When I first met Jim he went by the last name of Facer. In fact I believe he and I had a class together. Possibly an English Class from Maude Facer. She was one of my favorite teachers. I believe he and Ms. Facer were somehow related. Half way through our HS career at WHS he for some reason changed his last name to Gracey. Why I do not know. He apparently later began going by Richard rather than Jim. So when they published his obit in the paper it was for Richard Gracey. The obit said nothing about him attending WHS. I contacted Penny and she said it was in fact our Jim Facer aka Richard Gracey. I never had any further contact with Jim or Richard following our graduation from WHS in 1959. Sorry to learn of his passing. May he rest in peace. With best regards. Dennis Chamberlain. 2-19-10.
