Tex and I had our first date at the "Buddy Dance." The rest is history. We spent three years at USU where he graduated, then 20 years in the USAF, and then back to Roy. Tex taught school for 18 years after retiring from the USAF. I have been a stay-at-home mom all these years. However, I did graduate from the University of Alaska (ACC) when I was 42...it's never too late. I also taught piano lessons for 38 years, retiring in 2003 before Tex and I went on an LDS mission to Texas at Sheppard AFB. We are currently serving as missionaries in SLC, having served almost four years in the Military Relations Department.

One of the greatest experiences from choir was when Joseph Graves had us learn a whole program in Latin and then we went to St Benedict hospital and sang it for the nuns who worked there. It was a memorable experience. Later I nominated Mr. Graves for an award based on this experience and I got to spend an evening with him and his wife at the awards program where he won!

Remember the big celebration for the dedication of the new gymnasium? How about those dance reviews that Molly Cragun had the PE classes do? And band trips were always great--to San Francisco, Denver and other places!
