Joseph Lamar Higgs passed away 7 August 2014 at his home. In high school he was known as Lamar, but in later life he was known as Joe. He worked as a barber for 20 years in Riverdale, and drove a school bus for Weber County Schools for 30 years. He married Rosemary Merriam on 28 March 1959. He is surviveed by his wife Rosemary, 4 children and 10 grandchildren.

I am sadden to hear of Lamar's passing. We have been friends since we were 15. He was a great friend. He will be greatly missed.
I have a lot of good memories of good times spent with him over the years. My wife and I along with another couple have had a standing once a month date to meet and go out to dinner and then go back to each other's home and place a board game, Sequence...which Lamar really enjoyed.
Rest in Peace my good friend. We love you.
