Comments:

I graduated from Utah State University in Elementary Education in 1962. I taught school for just a few years while Gale was getting his Masters in Engineering. Since then I have spent every day teaching our own children or in the church. It is an ongoing process.

We have had a good life, spending most of our years in beautiful Cache Valley. For the most part, I have been able to stay at home and raise our 7 children and be a homemaker, which I love. My hobbies are reading, oil painting, and sewing. I do machine quilting for people with my long arm machine which I very much enjoy.

Gale and I are presently serving our 3rd mission (2009). Our first was to the country of Laos where we were humanitarian missionaries. For the next 3 years we served as water specialists for the LDS church, going to several developing countries for short periods of time, to help with their water systems as my husband is a civil engineer, specializing in water. Then we decided to go on another full time mission and now find ourselves in the Republic of Georgia also serving as humanitarian missionaries. We have had some wonderful experiences in Asia and this Russian area with the sweet humble people and learning of their cultures. We are truly blessed to live in America!

When we go on these missions, we leave behind our 7 children and their wonderful spouses and our 27 grandchildren. Most of our family live close enough to visit (when we are home) and they are all great!

My good husband and I are soon leaving on our 4th mission for the LDS church. We are excited to be staying in the country this time (Santa Rosa California), as before we have served outside in third world countries. It will be nice to be able to eat the food, drink the water and understand the language.
