Richard grew up in South Ogden, living, I think, next door to Jackie Boyce. To me he'll always be "Dickie". I don't know anyone who ever called him Dick or Richard during his school years. He was a quiet gentleman with a wry sense of humor. He played the tuba in Band (I think) which was appropriate given Dickie's size.

Chris is right. Dick did live next door to me on Evelyn Road. Hey, we even slept together as children once when his mom was tending me. How about that? They moved in next door when we were at Burch Creek Elementary. His mom was a tiny woman and I loved to try on her shoes. Gee, I have granddaughters who do that with mine. His mom, Patty would work in the yard and his dad (Pop), would do the cooking. Always thought that was interesting, but it worked for them. There was a hole in the hedge from their back door to ours, used by all the kids in the neighborhood. I don’t remember when he became Dick, probably after graduation. I just remember all the fun we had in the neighborhood.
