Comments:

I'ts been a great 50 years since high school. Gary and I were married March 10, 1960. We lived in Ogden for 6 years. Our son Bryce and Daughter Susan were born in the old Dee Hospital, (it's not there any more). Then we moved to Roy where we lived for 8 Years. Gary was working at Commercial Secutity Bank in Ogden on the corner of 25th and Washington. Our next two children James Christopher, and Stephen Matthew were
born in the old McKay Dee hospital (that isn't there any more either). Gary and I first met at Fred M. Nye Clothing Store on Washington Blvd in Ogden. ( it's not there either), where we both worked. And of course our ever loving Weber High School is also gone. We now refer to it as, 'Shopko High'. We then moved to Salt Lake City in 1973. After 8 Years in SLC we were transfered to Denver Co. After 5 Years there, we moved back to Utah, with me kicking and screaming all the way. I just loved living in Denver. Every move is hard, but that one was the worst. We have been living in Layton now, for the past 22 years. Gary retired 3 years ago. We love living close to our 4 children and 12 grandchildren. They bring so much joy into our lives. I was lucky to be a stay at home Mom. I enjoyed every single minute of it. When each of my children started school, I would stay so long after I would take them to their first day of kindergarten, the teachers would say to me " Mrs Thornley you can be excused now". I would love to go back to the day of just being a mommy, (Well maybe not)! Gary and I have traveled the world over. Our last trip was our very favorite. We went on a river cruise down the Blue Danube, starting in Vennia Austria and ending up in Nueremburg Germany. It was so wonderful. We are planning to do it again soon.
We also have fun as a family, and try to do things together every chance we get. Gary had a Heart Attack this past Feb. he had to have a quad, bypass. He is doing great now, he has a very upbeat, and positive attitude. He loves playing in 2 bands, one in Ogden and one in Layton. He gives tours at the Air Force Museum two times a week. I have had many health issues over the years, but I'm doing good at this moment. Well, thats the story of my life in a nut shell so far. I am looking forward to the reunion, I just hope we will be able to recognize each other now that we are old. Can you belive it?

School Story:

My favorite school story? well there are many. My friendship with the kids from the valley. They were so fun. I remember Hal Berrett had a little Austin Healy, and He would take me to all the games so I didn't have to ride the school bus. I loved being the Pep Club Vice President. I was so surprised to be elected to that position. One of my favorite teachers was Mr. Dabb. He was a funny man. I especially enjoyed being in Accapella, Mr. Graves, was an outstanding music teacher. I found out a lot about him during the years after High School. He was a great Bass Clarinet player and played in seveal of the bands that Gary did. He was also in the Mormon Tabernacal Choir. We saw him often at Utah Symphony Concerts. I was saddend at his recent passing. I loved going to the school dances. They we so fun, and kids in those days loved to dance, and our 50s music was the best. My husband is a fine musican, but not a dancer. So my dancing continued with my children, and my grandchildren. When they were little, we would put on some music, and dance all over the house. We especially loved river dancing. I can remember going to Kays noodle parlor after almost every dance. Once I went with Clint Robbins to ice skate on Ed Adairs ice pond that was behind his house. For some reason, Clints dads car wouldn't shift into the drive gear, the only gear that worked was the backup gear. So, we backed up over the North Ogden divide. That was crazy. I always wonderd if they were just playing a joke on me. I loved good old Weber High, they were great years. So many memories. Do you ever go back and read your year book autographs? I do, and they are so funny and interesting. My kids think I'm nuts because I think my high school years were much better than theirs. Oh well what can I say? They were! And of course I married an Ogden High School graduate, and they think they were better than Weber (NOT!) We were really lucky to have had such a special and magical moment in time as we did in the 50's.

Well the Reunion '50' is behind us now. It was fantastic. The planning committe did a great job of putting it all together. I am sure we all felt the same way. I am so happy we are keeping the web-site open for a while. It will be great keeping up with the new old friends we visited with at the reunion.

This is the day of our 30th class reunion. I was real nervous and didn't think anyone would even know who I was. It was nice but, I was right. I didn't talk to very many that were there, just cousins and some others. I think that most people have stayed in touch with some of their friends. I only see friends I've made since I have been married. I don't know where everyone went? So I hope this reunion will be different. I am so looking forward to it!

Well, it's come and gone now, and the reunion was everything I hoped it would be.
I am so happy that I went. What a great planning committee. They are to be commented.

This our whole family 2 years ago. Our grandson Andrew Dillman is serving a mission in Budapest Hungary, He will be home on the 11th of
April. What a great reunion that will be.

Well our Grandson Andrew is home from his mission and it is great to have him home. He has a cute new girl-friend, but she is leaving for her mission in a month. She is going to Brazil. I wonder if he will wait for her.
our Granddaughter Alyssa will turn 16 on Tuesday the 1st day of September. She is a very special Girl.

This is the old me. But I realize now that I am not the only one that is old. After going to the reunion a couple of weeks ago, I am not the only one. I think we are all in the same boat. However there were some that looked pretty darn good. HUM! I wonder why?

Our funny funny grand daughter Hannah
loves to do funny things in pictures.

Like I said she loves to take
cute and funny pictures.
She is one smart little cookie.
She carries on a conversation
like a grownup.

This is McKaylah. She is full of
life and loves to tell jokes.
She is in the top 10% of students
taking the Iowa test in the 5th
grade. She entered her Mother in
the Mother of the year contest
this summer. Ann (her Mother)
recieved a call telling her that
she would be the Mother of the
year for South Weber this year.
Ann was blown over. But
McKaylah was a happy camper.

This is Alyssa, another of our beautiful Grand-
daughters. Sister to the two above.
She is an accomplished
violinst, a straight A student,
and a Jr, in high school this
year. What a love she is. She has her braces off now and wow! what a difference.
