Richard died when the boat he was riding in overturned while duck hunting on a small reservoir in Colorado. I remember when Richard moved from Reno to Roy. Richard and Mack Gift were yell leaders at South Jr. (I don't think I could call them Cheerleaders in the current sense of the word.)He was always a dapper dresser! Sometimes looking more at home in a British country estate than in Ogden Utah. Richard's daughter, Rachel was a friend of my oldest daughter - Judy (Richard's widow) married Kent Argyle, and lived just around the corner from us in Hooper.

I couldn't believe a boy could dress like that with shirt, belt, and socks all matching. The girls thought he was fabulous. We didn't dress as good as he did, but he kept us on our toes to try to keep up. He was fun too and never missed a chance to gab in the halls.
