Renate was such a fun person! She had so many ideas and shared them with her girlfriends. I'm so happy that I knew her for a short time and can remember her well.

I remember Renate very well. She came to South Junior High School in the 7th grade. She was known then as Renate Guerts. She had just the tiniest German accent, which she soon lost. She had a very sweet, friendly personality, that she maintained all the way through high school at Weber. Renate also had a very memorable, kind of gravelly voice, and an extremely infectious laugh. When she laughed, everyone around her would laugh too, even if they didn't have the foggiest idea what was funny!

Reante and I were good friends at Weber College and had some good times there. She had a great zest for life and lived it to the fullest. I remember when her accident happened I couldn't believe she was actually killed because she was one of those people who are so alive, but I always think of her with a smile and remember her infectious laugh and sense of humor.
