I remember Vern, partially because we grew up together in South Ogden, but mostly for his fully customized 1950 Ford. It was white, chopped, channeled, hood and trunk leaded in, a bullnose rail on the hood, lowered, blue-dot taillamps (which were illegal then), half-moons over the headlights, baby moon hubcaps, and a custom button-and-tucked interior. He drove this car for many years. I had a 1951 Ford similar to Vern's, but it was never as classy!
