Richard Rust

Richard Phillip Rust passed away on Feb.21, 2010 after a long struggle with paralysis. Richard was born Mar. 31, 1941 In Ogden. He grew up in Washington Terrace and in high school met and married the love of his life Judy Dopp on May 28, 1958.

After serving his country in the U.S.Navy for 4 years Richard moved his family back to Utah and began a career at Hill AFB as a computer operator. He retired in 1994 as an Oracle Database Programmer after 35 yrs. of service. Richard had many interests including Elvis Presley ( which he and his wife both loved). He had a band for years (The Ramblers) where he played the guitar and sang. He built and raced model cars and was extremely gifted in leatherwork. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Richard is survived by a son and daughter and 2 son-in-laws; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He also had a brother.He was preceded in death by his wife Judy.

I will miss you Dick. It was so hard to see you suffer all the years. Had a good time in the Navy with you, Judy,  Brad and Janet
