Brooks Mosier, beloved coach and friend passed away Saturday after an extended battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 11th, at 10:00 AM at Community Chiristian School Activity Center located at 5300 North Interstate Drive, Norman, OK

I was fortunate to attend the funeral of Brooks Mosier this morning. A great showing for a great man. The central theme was a man who would help anyone, at any time. For those of you that played for him, I'm sure you were blessed. It was good to see Von Allen, Bill Cerney, Coach Jackie Carter, Coach and Mrs. Hickman and Bruce Scott. For all you football players, "sparky" was made reference to........brought a smile to the faces that had experienced it!

Coach will be remembered fondly. Coach Mosier was by the far the best coach I ever associated with high school or college. And yes I told the sparky story to my son's high school coaches and even offered to get one for them. His smile and personality were bigger than he was and he was a big man, he won't be forgetten.
How many of us forgot to lock there locker in the lockerroom and had to see Coach to get their pants back. A swat or a sparky I don't remember if we had a choice, Coach would just reach in his back pocket and unwind 'ol sparky.

Anyone have the latest scoop on the Reunion? I'm trying to fill out my summer schedule. Thanks!

Jan McGee (Parks)

The details for the reunion are posted on the 30 year reunion link. We have secured the Friday night meet and greet location at the Fox and Hound in Oklahoma City. The location and directions are posted. Pass the word! We are nearing the deadline to get registered.

Does someone have the information on Coach White's son who passed away? I was talking to Kurt Carter yesterday and he would like the information.

Thanks.

There is no specific dress code for Friday or Saturday night. I'm wearing jeans Friday night.

Scott, you sound like my husband. When I say I wonder what I'm wearing to work tomorrow, he says clothes. You guys are so helpful. hahaha

Ok no dress codes huh? hmmmmm I expected the Saturday night event to be business casual or more. Maybe the gals will post what they plan on wearing so Im not out of place!! ;o)

Maybe I will pull out some disco polyesther pants and big wide collared shirt and a few gold chains. No wait, if anyone has any of these clothes leftover I am sure it is Helsel.
Pam, you mentioned "business casual or more" just wondering what "or more" could be.
Ladies maybe you have your a prom dress that could go with Helsel'd disco look.

The committee didn't set a dress code for either night. The topic did come up a couple of times and we decided on clothes. Anything less, I was told, might be considered inappropriate. I have decided on jeans for Friday night but I'm still undecided for Saturday night. HUMMMMMMMM.....decisions, decisions.......

Due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict, Melissa and I won't be able to attend the reunion, but I wanted to send best wishes to everyone in the Classes of 78 and 79, and am certain everyone will have a great time. We really wish we could be there and I will miss seeing all of you crazies again.

Jets Forever,

Marshall.

Jan any Saturday night decisions for clothing? Have you heard from any of the girls to see what they are wearing?

Aww Marshall we will miss you! Its going to be fun to see everyone again!! ;o)

I'm wearing jeans on Friday night. Probably jeans on Saturday night too. I may break down and wear a skirt on Saturday night, but since I leave for Washington DC on Sunday morning at the crack of dawn I will have a lot of my clothes packed for my trip. I doubt that I dress very formal. For me it will be casual...

I'm so sad! My husband hurt his ankle working out yesterday and it looks like he has a softball on the side of it. I was hoping it would be better today, but no such luck.
Unless I decide to make a 7 hour trip alone to OKC, I most likely won't be able to come to the reunion tonight.
I had planned on talking to everyone about doing a "we're all 50" trip next summer (cruise, whatever). Maybe by then, the economy will be better! If anyone's interested, let me know. Several of my friends here are going with their highschool classmates.

Stuck in Austin,

The pics looked great Sheryl. Looks like everyone had fun. Wish we could have been there, darn the luck! I'm diggin the "we're 50 cruise" idea, though, Sherri. We were planning another cruise next year anyway. Keep me in the loop on how that idea progresses.
