Rev. Leroy R. VanAntwerp II, 34, died Thursday, January 17, 2002 due to a plane crash in Temple, Texas.  He is survived by his wife of thirteen and a half years, Laura-Lee, and his two sons, Leroy III, age 9, and Tyler, age7, 

Leroy was a member of the Crosstown Pentecostal Holiness Church until 1988. Leroy graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1985. He attended Oral Roberts University from 1985 till 1988 where his double major was church ministries/evangelism. in 1987 Leroy met his wife to be at O.R.U. who was also a student there. In August of 1988 they were married.

In 1994 Leroy and family moved to New Mexico to Full gospel Tabernacle to serve as Associate Pastor with Pastor Mike & Elaine Skidmore. In 1995 he took over as the Youth Pastor of Tuesday Night Live changing the name to Powerhouse. Leroy & Laura-Lee served for seven years. In July 2001 Leroy & Laura-Lee and the boys moved to Texas City, Texas to serve as High School Youth Pastor for Abundant Life Christian Center in La Marque.
