Ronald L. Gentry, 63, of Olivehurst died May 6, 2004, at his residence.

Born in St. Jose[ph, Mo., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 60 years.

He was a retired chief petty officer of the U.S. Navy, with 26 years of service. He also worked for Windsor Door Co. after retirement.

Survivors include a daughter, Laura Gentry of Olivehurst; as son, Rob Goodale of New Hampshire; a brother, Donald Gentry of  of Marysville; two sisters, Pat Diamond of Marysville and Betty Tiner of Carmichael; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Donations may be made to the Cancer Society c/o Walk for Life Event.

Services: A graveside service is scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday at Sutter Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Holycross Memorial Services.
