I really felt bad when I learned about the demised of Ruel Gaa. I never get the chance to be his classmates, but because of my sister, I get the chance to know him. He used to come over to our house to lend me some of his books and always very polite and friendly everytime I see him around Jackson. He was one of those smart and talented students of our school who never compromise his belief. He lived his high school life the way he wanted it. I know he will surely be missed. I do.

He was this sweet, nice boy who had a sweet and cute face. We ocassionally walked together towards the Bajac Bajac market. Although we weren't classmates, we talked like we really knew each other.
I have this one distinct memory of us walking together and he shared a story with me. One sentence I wouldnt forget that really connected me with him is, "Pati aso namin hindi ko kakampi." From them on... I considered him a friend that I'll remember forever. Now, I regret sharing my opinion that moment..."Ruel, me kakampi ka... ako yon."
