Don's Mom, Elsie, used to paint with me in my art class. After she passed away, Don called me to see if I wanted any of her art supplies. That was just last summer. I went to her house (where Don was now living) and we had a nice chat. The house was just behind the house where I grew up in Keystone. He showed me the "man cave" he was building in the basement. He looked in the peak of health and looking forward to fixing up his folks' old house. I was so shocked to hear that he had died shortly after. We will miss him.
