Lois was one of my closest friends from 6th grade on.  We lived only a couple of blocks apart.  She was the only girl in her family, with four brothers.  She and her husband were killed in a traffic accident (caused by a drunk driver) in the early 80's.  Their children were quite young at the time.  As I understand it, the children were raised by one of Lois' brothers.  I miss her still.

I too remember Lois.  She was so fun to be around.  I believe it was at our first reunion that we were told she and her husband had been killed.  She is one that I have never forgotten, the world and the class of 63 lost a gem

Of course I remember Lois very well.  She was my first high school "squeeze" and we 'dated' for some time in our freshman/sophomore years.  She was a great young lady, and I was saddened to hear about her death many years ago.

Lois was the first girl at Mt. View to welcome me when I moved there in 4th grade.  She had me over for lunch and her mom, Connie, made us chicken salad in a bird nest bowl--it was soooo fancy and a wonderful welcome.  Lois and our Mt. View girls remained close with dances and slumber parties nearly every weekend through 8th grade.  Lois and her husband John Malley lived in Kansas City where they were killed by a drunk driver on Dec. 13, 1981.  They had three surviving sons, Ryan, Chris, and Craig. She was a lovely girl.
