ONEIDA- Richard S. Colvin, 70, Stone Street, died early Sunday morning, July 11, 2021, in Oneida Healthcare, shortly after his admission as a medical patient. Born in Oneida, on September 1, 1950, he was the son Charles F. and Julanne Myers Colvin, Sr. A lifelong resident of Oneida, Rich was a graduate of Oneida High School and attended college in Kansas. He married Jenifer Maycock in Oneida on March 13, 1998. Prior to his retirement, Rich was employed with H. P. Hood, Inc. and previously had been employed with Oneida Limited, Silversmiths for thirty-two years. He was a member of the Order of the Owls, Oneida Nest 1606 and the Old Erie Golf Club and enjoyed fishing, kayaking, deer hunting, dancing and the outdoors. Surviving besides his wife, Jenifer, are his three sons and their wives, Scott C. (Jenifer) Colvin and Ryan J (Natalie) Colvin, all of Oneida and Adam E. (Megan) Colvin of Utica; ten grandhchildren, Isaac, Eliza, Abram, Elgin, Evlyn, Carlie, Brian, Lillian, Adasyn and Carter; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kimberly (Howard) Regner of Oneida, Jennfier (Donald) Pexton of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Julanne Burton of Earlville; two brothers, Jonathan Colvin of Westmoreland and Charles F. (Tracy) Colvin, Jr. of Oneida Castle; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William C. Colvin on August 24, 1998. Graveside funeral services will be 1 PM, Friday, at the family plot in Glenwood Cemetery. There will be his Celebration of Life, following the cemetery service, at the Owls Club, Vanderbilt Avenue, Oneida. There are no hours of visitation.
