Helen SmithOneida---Helen B. Smith, 68, of 426 Florence Avenue, Oneida, died Monday, July 2, 2018, in University Hospital where she had been a medical patient following a brief illness. Helen was born on July 12, 1949, in Oneida, the daughter of Frank and Martha Boden Brass. She was a lifelong resident of Oneida, except for living in Vermont for ten years. She was a graduate of Oneida High School, class of 1968. On December 20, 1969, she married Jerald C. Smith in the First Presbyterian Church, Oneida.

Surviving are her husband, Jerald, two children, Jeffrey Smith, of Oneida and Sara (A.J.) DeAmicis, of Framingham, MA; two brothers, John (Carol) Tefft, of Canastota and Frank Brass; her three grandchildren that were the love of her life, Ethan, Liliana and Charlotte. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2018, from St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 551 Sayles Street, Oneida with Rev. Abigail Browka and Rev. Denise Bowen officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul's Church Memorial Fund, 551 Sayles Street, Oneida, NY, 13421.
