Steve Hill

Steven M. Hill, formerly of Oneida Castle, a resident of Niskayuna for the past 15 years, passed away Wednesday, April 3 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peters in Albany.

Steve was born Nov. 23, 1951. Husband of Deborah Hill (formerly Stoodley-Callahan) for 20 wonderful years. Step-father to Holly Johnson and her husband James, and Todd Callahan and his lady Sarah Bush. Grandfather (Papa Steve) to Jeremy Grovanz, Robbie Johnson and Leni Callahan.
Steve has two brothers, Dave and his wife Janice of Dewitt and Terry and his wife Kathy of Sherrill, and three beautiful nieces, Lindsay, Loren and Katelyn, whom he adored. His parents Fred and Luette Hill are now with him. His mother- and father-in-law, Charles and Anne Stoodley who reside in Florida adored him. He had two brothers-in-law, Gary Stoodley and his wife Jeannie of Grayslakes, Ill. and Richard Stoodley and his wife Linda of Westmoreland.
Steve had a bachelor's degree from Alfred State and Syracuse University and then went on to become a mechanical plumbing engineer with different companies. He was a volunteer
fire fighter and EMT when he lived in Oneida Castle.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church on Main Street in Oneida.
