Jodi Fortmuller (Denmead)

Jodi-Ann Denmead (nee Fortmuller) of Warwick (and formerly of Silver Spring, Md.) passed away at home on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. She was 47 years old.

Born Oct. 4, 1962, in Hoboken, N.J., she was the daughter of Henry and Rose Marie (Penzo) Fortmuller.

She was the wife of Donald Denmead.

A homemaker, Jodi-Ann graduated from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She formerly worked for IBM as an accountant.

A member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Warwick, she was an active member of Warwick School District PTA and president of Park Avenue PTA, was a dedicated community volunteer and an avid sports fan.

“She was a loving and proud mother who fought a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.”

She is survived by her husband, Donald, of Warwick; a daughter, Kaylee, and a son, John; her parents Hank and Rose Marie Fortmuller of Warwick; two brothers: Jeff Fortmuller and wife Alison, of Morris Township, N.J., and Hank Fortmuller and his wife Beverly, of Martinsville, N.J.; a niece, Lindsey Fortmuller; three nephews: Christopher, Cole and Henry Fortmuller; and the family dog, Kiki.

 

A memorial service celebrating her life was held Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Warwick. Cremation will be private.
