Laura Chaffiotte, a loved and respected member of the Frederick community, passed away on August 6, 2013, after a courageous fight with cancer. Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Laura also lived in the Portland, Oregon, area for many years before settling in Frederick in 1994. She earned her doctor of chiropractic degree from the University of Western States and later established Tollhouse Chiropractic.Laura brought her warm, generous spirit to every aspect of her life. In her practice, she was known as a compassionate and caring healer. She was passionate about cycling, running, and - most of all - caring for her autistic son Peter. She will be deeply missed by all those she touched. Laura is survived by her sons Sam and Peter Chaffiotte, her parents Sam and Eleanor Riccio, her sisters Nancy Riccio and Nina Mullens, and many, many dear friends.
