It saddens me to announce the passing of our dear classmate Sharon Long on January 12, 2015 in a recent car accident caused by DWAI driver. She was residing in Lynbrook (Nassau County) New York. 

Sharon R. Long, 53, of New York died on Jan. 12, 2015. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. at Cotton Funeral Service, 1025 Bergen St., Newark, N.J. Interment is at Fairmount Cemetery. Sharon was the beloved daughter of Lawrence Jackson; dear sister of Pamela (Sean) Duncan, Jeffrey Goins, Angela Rabb and Dana Holmes, and cherished aunt of Teva, Alegna, Latasha, Dana, Virtve and John. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Her partner of 20 years, John Jones, died with her in the accident. 

Her nickname in high school was Shorty, she was also an OHS Cheerleader, and Manager of the Blackberries Club.
