Thomas Lajti, 74, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 18, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 11, 1944, to John and Margaret (Strick) Lajti. In his younger years, Tom served on the Jerusalem Township Fire Department, eventually becoming Assistant Fire Chief. He loved skiing and going to the Ohio State Buckeye's football games. Tom dedicated his entire life to working on the family farm, instilling in his children the same work ethic. He worked hard to provide a good life for his family, and they will be forever grateful for that.

Tom is survived by his sons, Thomas (Sara) Lajti, Eric (Sarah) Lajti, and Randy Lajti; daughter, Elizabeth Lajti-Taylor; 8 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Lind; and several brothers, sisters and nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 35 years, Sandy.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH 43616 on Friday, September 21, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. with Last Alarm services at 6:30 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Stephen's, 1880 Genesee, Toledo, OH 43605, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions to be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
