Beverly Malik (Denny)

BEVERLY A. DENNY

December 9, 1944 - September 12, 2010
age: 65

Beverly A. (Malik) Denny passed away on September 12, 2010, surrounded by her adoring family after her fight against cancer.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Gerald Denny; former husband, John Flegle and their five children, Jeffrey, Matthew (Tongsue Ly), Todd, Marcy, and Mindy Flegle. Her pride and legacy are her children, who remain the brightest stars in her universe. She said the greatest thing she ever did was encourage them to follow their dreams.

Bev's home was always the gathering place for family celebrations and everyone was welcome. She held family and friends close to her heart and those memories will continue. Bev was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jane (Duddleston) Gehr and Walter Malik; stepfather, Paul Gehr, and brother, William Malik.

Survivors also include grandchildren, Jessica, Chelsea, Emma, Mattison, Andrew, Mara, and Jasper. Also, surviving is her longtime friend, Sharon (Lalendorf) Toth. A half sister, Susan McQueary (Charles), also survives.

Her gentle nature was pushed through the gauntlet only to reveal courage, patience to struggle, and a will to fight. Through it all, it was her strength that pulled us together - little moments known to each of us individually that will live inside us forever. In accordance with Bev's wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of HOA and Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Perrysburg) for their compassionate care. Memorial donations to Shriner's Hospital for Children (www.shrinershospitals.org) or Hospice of Northwest Ohio (www.hospicenwo.org). Online condolences may be made at: www.toledocremation.com .

Remember me when flowers bloom Early in the spring Remember me on sunny days In the fun that summer brings Remember me in the fall As you walk through leaves of gold And in the wintertime - remember me in the stories that are told But most of all remember Each day - right from the start I will be forever near For I live within your heart.
