Erin Guest Cooper

I haven't followed the path I would have predicted in high school, but I wouldn't change where I am now for anything. After wandering down different roads, I FINALLY decided to pursue a degree in nursing and found my niche. I work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (as well as the well-baby nursery) of a small hospital in Winter Haven, FL, and I could not love it more. There is nothing more exciting or heartwarming than sharing in the joy of new parents, and there is nothing more challenging than grieving with parents who have experienced a loss at a time when they least expect it. I feel truly blessed to be there.

My husband Josh and I were married in October, 2004. He supported me every step of the way through nursing school, and I really think his excitement about my graduation surpassed my own! We have already made so many wonderful memories together, and we have created a couple of spoiled monsters in our dogs Truman (a pot-bellied Australian Cattle Dog) and Zoey (my favorite mutt). I look forward to expanding our human family soon...

I have a lot of friends who had horrible high school experiences, and I always feel a bit cheesy saying that I actually enjoyed it. I certainly wasn't popular, but I had a close group of friends and had some really great times.
