My childhood memories of Kris always make me smile as I remember many happy times playing on his Dad-designed-custom-made tree house/fort/kids' paradise in his backyard. For some reason I also have vivid a memory of playing pin the tail on the donkey at Kris's birthday party in 1st or 2nd grade (I don't know why I remember this... maybe I was the donkey).

I also have a clear memory of the exact place I was sitting (Osage Methodist Church) when I heard of Kris's auto accident and how that shocked and saddened me.

So, Kris, here's to you from a childhood friend. We remember you fondly. May your spirit fly free amid the wonders beyond.

Like John, I remember being saddened at Kris' death at such a young age. His oldest daughter recently contacted me on Facebook. She has a lovely family and I know Kris would be proud of her and her sister and his grandchildren! I remember Kris making me laugh so hard when he sat behind me in English Class...I think Mrs. Baty's class.

I recall a biology lab where we were to establish our 'blood type', and Kris was my partner.  I didn't relish the idea of  having to have our fingers poked, but what are ya gonna do......soooo...(this being before the concerns with blood contamination issues) after being poked, and trying to find some blood I began squeezing my finger...Gee I had no idea that blood could squirt so far in such a lovely red arc into the air......well we all had a good laugh, and I have given lots of blood since then.....wasn't so bad after all.

I felt that we lost a wonderful citizen and classmate in Kris. He is missed by many, for sure.

I have a strong memory of playing with Kris out at the Golf Course.  Doing jungle gym tricks on a bar, hanging up side down, just for the joy of it......
