Jana Christine Jensen, 57, formerly of Brooklyn Park and Andover, passed away peacefully in her residence in Champlin on June 1, 2022 of natural causes. Preceded in death by father Douglas R. Jensen. Survived by daughters Samantha and Jessica Hansen, mother Anna Jensen, siblings Douglas, Julee, and David (Nicole), and nephews Ben, Nick, and Andrew. After graduating from Osseo High School in 1983, Jana earned her degree in nursing. She began her career as an RN at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital where she worked for 23 years before simultaneously working in the ER at North Memorial, where she discovered her passion for teaching and training and certifying area doctors and nurses in advanced cardiac life support. Jana was not only compassionate toward the welfare of people but also of every animal she encountered that was in need. She would routinely stop and ensure stray animals were safe and had a home. She was particularly fond of frogs and turtles and would often lend them a helping hand crossing streets.

A celebration of Jana's life will be held on December 8, 2022 at Emmanuel Christian Center, 18912 Twin Lakes Rd NW, Elk River, with visitation at 10 am, service at 11 am, and reception lunch from 12 pm-2 pm.
