Suzanne Kathleen Cole, 37, of Park Rapids and Brooklyn Park passed away February 26th, 2009 at the U of M Fairview Hospital, Mpls.

Suzanne was born Aug. 5th, 1971 in Mpls to Roger and Kathie Cole.

For the past year, she has resided in Park Rapids with her parents.  She loved all things in the north woods, especially the wild life.  She was an avid and excellent photographer of birds, deer, flowers, bugs, butterflies and frogs.  

She graduated from NHCC and SCSU with a degree in social work.  She also had an xray technician degree from Hi-Tech Institute.  Before her illness, she was employed by the DMS Imaging Company in Maple Grove.

She had a liver transplant on May 22nd, 1999 and eight years of good health after.

During this time, she participated in two Transplant Olympic Games in Mpls and Louisville, KY.  In 2007, she contracted e.coli sepsis from which she never fully recovered.

She is survived by her parents, Roger and Kathie Cole of Park Rapids; maternal grandmother, Lois Larson of Marshall; best friend, Jennifer Lukanen of Brooklyn Park; her aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her beloved cats, CeCe and Apollo.
