I still can't believe that it's been 20 years. Where has the time gone? I met my husband, Todd, at the end of our senior year and took him to our senior prom. We got married in 1989 and I spent the next 7 years following him around the country while he served in the Army.
I finally finished my undergraduate degree in accounting at The University of Maryland. When Todd got out of the Army, we moved to the Columbus area so that he could attend Ohio State and we've lived in Grove City ever since.
I decided to go back to school and received my MBA from Ohio State a couple of years ago. The best thing about going back to school was being able to go to the Buckeyes games.
I am currently employed by a real estate development company in Grove City, Countrytyme Inc., as their Vice President of Finance. I love working in real estate but business has been tough the last couple of years.
My son, Alex, is turning 5 this summer so we are getting ready for kindergarten. He keeps me really busy. I forgot how many questions that kids have!
We make it back to Portsmouth a couple of times per month since my mom and dad and the rest of the family are still there. It's always nice to go home and Kelly (Whittle) Atkins and I make it a point to meet up for lunch.
It will be really nice to see everyone and catch up in June! |
