Charles H. Shuffle

RIP: February 24, 2021.

Chuck’s sister, Linda Shuffle Mackin, wrote the following after Chuck’s death. She also provide the photo below.

“I’m very sad to say that my brother, Chuck Shuffle, passed away last Wednesday, February 24th, 2021. Here is a little history of his life In lieu of an obituary, since his many old and new friends, neighbors and relatives are spread across the country.

He was born in Ashtabula, OH on May 29, 1950. He graduated from Riverside High School in Painesville, OH, class of ’68. He went on to Ohio State University and lived in Columbus for several years. He got married to his now ex-wife Sandra and became father to her two children, Sylvia and Jason. After that he wore many different hats. He was a Lineman for an electric company (following in the footsteps of our father), he was a farmer in Washington state and an iron worker in Alaska. After a major accident as an iron worker, he went back to school and got a degree in Math and Physics. He worked as an instructor of Math and Physics at the University of Alaska and also helped run a deli with his wife. Following his divorce, he moved to Oregon to help care for our mother. In Oregon, he worked at Safeway until his death. His death has left a big hole in my and many people’s lives but he had many health problems in the last few years and now he is free from those struggles. Rest in peace, Chuck.”
