Gaylord was at Berea College all 4 years and graduated in 1963. He was married and lived in Tennessee. Tragically, he died from choking on food.

Gaylord attended Paintsville during his junior year, then transferred to Louisa for his senior year. Attended Berea College along with Phil Haney. Died 2008.
