MCHENRY - Jerry Glade, age 57, died suddenly on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. He was born in Elgin on March 7, 1958 to Wilbert and Margaret (Schaffer) Glade. On October 1, 1988, Jerry was united in marriage with Mary C. Bender in McHenry. A resident of the Kent Acres subdivision of McHenry for the past three years, he was formerly a resident of McCullom Lake for 20 years. For over 20 years, Jerry was a laborer with Union Local 118, working primarily with Pepper Construction. Very active with youth baseball, Jerry served as a coach for over 5 years with the McHenry Baseball Association. During the winter months, Jerry was always there to help the kids playing hockey shovel snow off their hockey rink. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Mary; his children, Randy (Jessica), Jason (Samantha), Matthew (Savannah), Tyler and Emily; 3 grandchildren, Savannah, Teah, Aiden; his father, Wilbert (Rosalie) Glade of Elk Grove; a sister, Kathleen (Robert) Kunowski; a brother, Gary (Deborah) Glade; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
