it is with a heavy heart that I learned only today of Tom's passing. He passed away August 14th, 2018.
I have so many memories of Tom, the many mornings before school at Paly that I would go to his house and his grandmother would fix us homemade Tortillas that we would put butter, cinnamon and sugar on and devour not one, but several. There were the many weekend nights that we would go to Dan Gernand's garage and drink beer. When younger we would play in the creek behind Tom's house (San Francisquito creek).
Tom and I had a job cleaning up a burger joint on University ave in what was called "Whiskey gulch" at the end of University ave near his house. We of course cleaned the small resturant but not until we had cooked ourselves some classic burgers with all the fixings.
I am deeply saddened that I did not keep in contact with Tom after our days at Paly, but I will always cherish the memories that I do have.
