John A. Konrady Jr.
John A. Konrady Jr., 50, died June 2 in Mountain View after a long illness. Born in Patuxent, Md., he grew up in Palo Alto and graduated from Palo Alto High School in 1962. He earned a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a doctorate in elementary particle physics at the University of Maryland. At Berkeley, he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He is survived by his father, John A. Konrady Sr. of Palo Alto; a brother, Richard M. Konrady of Sunnyvale; and three sisters, Ann Poitras of Pacific Grove, Mary Finnerty of Fairfield and Susan Marks of Corte Madera. Contributions may be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Santa Clara County, 2589 Scott Blvd., Santa Clara, CA 95050. Services have been held.
