Mike passed away Sept 30, 2011, of a massive heart attack. He was scheduled to go in for some heart work in a few weeks after he died..  I have known Mike since he was six, his older brothers were friends with mine.  I last talked to him about a year ago, he was looking forward to the 50th Paly reunion. these pictures were taken about 2002,, Mike ran his own company in Delia, Kansas. a company called Trimetric Engineering.

Mike was always a car / hot rod nut, as you can see he stayed with it, building  "Funnycar" race cars and street rods.  He moved his family many years ago to Kanas because he thought it would be a better place to raise his kids.  He ran his business from his farm.  In high school he traded his colbalt blue '39 Ford with a Buick engine for my '50 Olds coupe. I still think I got the better deal... so long old friend

I met Mike in 9th grade at Jordan Jr. High School. He and Eric Semones used to come visit me and Cheri at our house on Waverley St.. I dated Mike and Cheri dated Eric for parts of that year. Mike was a bit shy with an adorable smile and had a sweet heart. He was a wonderful boy and friend, and I am sure that he grew to be a most loving husband and father. I am so sad to hear that he died, still so young as far as I'm concerned, and my sympathies go out to his family. May you rest in peace, Mike, old friend.

Mike was an adventurous, sweet and gentle young man. We were 'steadies' during our Sophomore Year at Paly. These two pictures are from that time period.

He was passionate about his life and family. They must miss him dearly.

I miss him, too!

Good-bye Mike, RIP

The Good Old Innocent Days

We double-dated with Mike and Marilee many times. Right  before Mike passed he wrote a very warm and loving email to us sharing his life, love, and love of God. God has blessed you Mike! Keep on trucking . Marilee's photo is of Mike, Marilee, Nancy and Chris Boome. We are sailing back to Palo Alto from St. Francis Yacht Club in the city aboard Alex's dad's  42 ft. Sailboat "Bounty". Mike remembered this day. 12 year old Chris was our "chaperone " and of course handling the sailboat would keep us busy!
