Paraiso High School as we knew it, back in the dayz.
Clubhouse: Who can foget French Cookies, & Butter Brickle Ice Cream & Clubhouse patties...
Paraiso Theatre: Remembering some people , names I won't mention, because I don't recall, Sneaking in thru the side door to watch the movies free, or sitting on the back steps peeping thru the screen window to watch the cartoons & previews, before Mr. Muck would come around &Y run them off or call you madda or fadda and tell on huno...
Baseball Diamond: Great meeting place to hang out with friends or start a fight? Buying fry-fry, & soda y raspaos..oh and daring to walk thru Ghost Town cemetary to take the short cut to go from down the road to up the road by the men barracks
The Old Paraiso Gym:Aquaintance Dance with 'Batman' con sus lentes oscuros en la noche? Was the meanest Chaperone there was? Oh & dont fogetr Mr. Kirven what was his nicname again?
The new Paraiso Gym: BasketBall Games
Paraiso Swimming pool: Lifeguards Eddie Morrell, Mr. Murrell, Ampudia, Jaime Perez, Vincent Thomas.
Now remind me why we had to go swimming at nite in Pariso pool? because it was hot as hell in Dry Season
So who was watching the soft -ball games or the ladies slow pitch games or fast pitch games with pitcher Eddie Morrell? When you get home and you madda o you fadda ask you who win? You kiant even ansa....Who won?? ...Who win what? ..the Game, what game??? LOL!
What about Cricket on Sundays?
Lodge Hall: Mostly remembers those dances with Mr. Daniels Band playing all night and then nobody wanted to go home even when the dance was over?
Over the Track: Mangoes & for cutting down only the best Palm tree leaves for carport parties & under the cella parties & Night of Fun.
Entrance? ...Oh you mean Paraiso Entrance, close to the new Catholic church? Lovers lane?Mosquito alley, you just know who was hanging out in the entrance...after the movies or the baseball games the night before from all the mosquito bites they had the next day in school...
Mr. French Gym Coach from Gamboa...Truck he use to give us a ride home after the softball games if we kian run fast enuf to kiatch him on the highway...his glasses always falling off his face...laffs no wonda we stayed skinny back in those dayz lots of walking & running from Pedro to Pariso or running behind the Pariso bus...
Paraiso Gas Station: Mr. Blades gave us old inner tubes to blow up and take to the rapids or curtina rivers & the beach, the ones we could not re-inflate, we would cut it up and make elastic bands for our skates to keep it on our foot, when we lost the key to the skate clamps (laffin)
Gamboa Wooden Bridge: trying to walk across without looking down into the water below.
School Principals: tell me who you think was the worst or the best principal in Pariso schools: Mr. Parchment, Mr.Diaz, Mr Andrews, Mr.Richards, Mr. Audley Webster, Ms. Carter..a lady principal..did you think the lady principal was the meanest of dem all Ellis Fawcett.
Canal Zone Bus: Pariso Bus was the Giambo & Pedro Bus too...remembers catching the last bus outta Gambo after a house party or walk home in a group oer the Giambo bridge..down pass Summit Gardens over the hill telling ghost stories of the old red eye hag that would come out of the bushes and grab U.
