Joanne was my next door neighbor since childhood. We grew up together, went to school together and enjoyed a sweet childhood friendship. Joanne was one of the kindest persons I have ever met. She was quiet in nature, sincere and giving. After high school we lost touch, I am saddened to learn of her passing. I will always remember Joanne with fond memories.

Joanne and I became friends before we ever started school. We used to share a play pen while our mother's would do their ironing.

Joanne was a beautiful caring woman, and as many of you know a very smart lady.

She worked as a bio chemist for St. Jude Hospital. She was married to the love of her life Carl until he died only six years after they were married. Life was just never the same for her.

Joanne's family moved her to Spokane,WA where she continued to fight the battle of brain cancer for over a year. She died March 22, 08.

She will forever be missed, and will always hold a very special place in my heart, as well as all those she touched.

Gods Speed Joanne!

Love,
Lynne

Joanne lived down the street from me all thruogh our school years. We were always in the same elem. school class. I was impressed at five years old when she introduced herself to me in kindergarten by saying "I can spell encyclopedia." I was five, I did't know what that even was, but this girl could spell. We walked to and from school together, tricked & treated together, played at each others houses, all the fun kid stuff. She even taught me the Lord's Prayer one night at a sleep over while we tried to go to sleep. When a black bumble bee stung her in my yard, I cried but I don't remember her crying. She was a determined girl. I lost touch with her after high school. I wish I could of found her decades ago. God Bless this childhood friend of mine.

Just today I have learned that the best friend I ever had at the Paramount School District has passed. We were the best of friends in Jr. High and High School. We both played in the bands and orchestras since Jr. High.... In high school we became very close as friends. I used to go and see her at Disneyland when she worked there. We were like brother and sister and that meant alot to me. The world is at a loss to not have her. My personal world is crushed to find out she is gone... That is one of the mysteries of life I would like a answer for... why do such good people go so young. My heart goes out to anyone that knew her and feels the loss !! Sincerely, Michael W. Duncan

Dear Joanne,(and her Family)

I had the biggest crush on you all through high school... I tried so many times to talk to you, but I was such a big chicken and you were so beautiful... My tong was so tied, I could hardly speak, (I think I made some sort of gurgling sounds and you just thought I was weird)... I just wanted you to know that, even though your not here, I know, you know, now ! ...

What a great person, and what a wonderful way to spend your life working for a hospital like St. Jude's. How sad to think she succumbed to a disease that she helped to cure in others, especially children.

I knew Joanne through junior high and high school. We attended CSULB together. I remember after her parents divorced and my dad passed away, we spent Thanksgiving together at her uncle and aunt's. She was living with them while going to college, and my mom had to work that day.

I was very saddened by her passing.

I know you are gone, but I also feel that you are among us looking down on all of the silly things we have done.
God must have needed a special Angel the day he took you from this earth.

Your wonderful brother George, has gifted me with your graduation ring. Not only that but your Mom whom I know you loved and adored, gave me your Corsaires heart necklace. We had lunch on June 13, 2008 here in Coeur d' Alene, exactly 40 years ago to the day of our actual graduation. So many things have been linked, your actual passing on this earth was on my oldest sons birthday.
It just seems to go on and on.

I'm going to miss you my dear sweet friend, you will always be in my heart.
