Hello everyone ,

I need your help , since all of us grew up in the cold of the winter we all know how important it is for our little one to stay warm.

I am heading to Nepal in October for a month to help children in some medical camps. A big problem over there is 4 out of every 10 children under the age of 10 Die from freezing to death in the winter.

If any of your children have out grown COATS, GLOVES, HATS, ANYTHING that can help these little people survive their bruttle winters, that would be great!!

You can drop off these items at:

Thank You so much for your help!!

HELPING ORPHANS WORLDWIDE

Founded in 2007, Helping Orphans Worldwide (HOW), is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing human rights and social justice to children living in the most deprived areas of the world.

The idea for HOW grew from the desire to make a difference in the lives of needy children by using a hands-on, grass roots approach to affect positive change.

Daria Gledhill and Hillary Brown started HOW following a trip to the Philippines. It was here, while participating in a volunteer immersion program at the Preda House in Olongapo City, that Daria and Hillary witnessed the atrocities being committed against children.

The goal of HOW is to assist in and develop long-term, self-sustaining programs that will have a positive and lasting impact within the communities of these needy children and their families.

HOW works directly with other non-profit organizations globally to provide immediate assistance to defend, protect and rehabilitate children who are victims of abuse.  We support the initiatives of best practice charities through funding and collaborative projects. In addition, we provide direct support to selected organizations through Volunteer Immersion Programs that seek to raise awareness and promote child advocacy.

Our work has so far taken us to southeast Asia, specifically the Philippines and Vietnam. Here, we have found children who have fallen through the cracks of humanity… children who do not fit into the “categories” of those being helped by worldwide organizations. It is these forgotten children that HOW searches for. We are committed to raising awareness and compassion for the many exploited and abused children of the world.

We invite you to visit our website, www.helpinghow.com, where you can learn more about our programs and make a donation.

Please contact us if you are interested in learning more or joining us on a trip and check out our volunteer blog for the highlights of our recent trip!
