Paul was the most wonderful person I have ever met. He was the kind of person who you became a lifelong friend with. He would give the shirt off his back for his friends. Paul and I met in high school (thanks to Ruth Ann Hemming) and after high school we would reconnect every 5 years or so. We met up on 7/24/01 and the rest is history. We married 4/2/05 and later that year Paul adopted my daughter from my 1st marriage. He was more than just a stepfather to her. He was the father she needed! She is now a freshman at PHS and is proud to have his name.! Paul passed away 12/4/06. I did not get to spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams. But i feel that we had a great life together, no matter how short our time was... If anyone has other memories, please post them.

What can I say about Paul that his friends don't already know. Paul brought joy, laughter and frustration to my life and I will cherish my friendship with him for the rest of my life.

I also had the priviledge of being at one of the happiest days of Paul's life when he married Debbie Koenig. The two of them were wonderful together and I will miss the great times Dan and I along with Paul and Debbie have had together.

Paul, rest in piece my friend. I will miss you always.

Hi Debbie. I connected through Classmates not too long ago, & you told me about all of this. I never knew you two ended up married, as well as of his passing until the email you sent me. I'm so sorry, you found the man you were meant to be with for way to short a time. I myself just finally married this year. Well, I was never "friends" with Paul but we were very cool to each other. Mainly do to a gesture on his part. I don't know who would remember the issues PHS had with Montville HS back in the early 80's but, I was tackled in the parking lot @ 7-11 one night by 3 guys. I was holding my own, but Paul came out of the store & I heard "Lemme even this out a little", to see him BONK one of them really hard on the head. The guy dropped & stayed down, letting me finish off the other two easily! LOL He just smiled at me & said "there ya go Rick . . . CYA @ school"! Thanks Paul & best wishes to you Deb.
