Maxson’s Riverboat Cruise – 1469 N. IL Rte. 2, Oregon, IL
Lonnie, Sue, Ken and I took the Sunday 11:30am Champagne Brunch/ Riverboat Tour and determined it was very relaxing and a great place to socialize. The upper deck is covered and even though it was a very warm Sunday there was shade and a nice breeze. The food was good but not a very wide selection. We ate on the lower deck with air conditioning and you could stay there during the cruise instead of going to the upper deck. We cruised from the upper deck. We collectively decided it was a “little” pricy for just a buffet but a great place to unwind and visit.
The only cruise time available on Saturday, September 15 or Sunday, September 16 is the 11:30am. Board at 11am both days. They need a minimum of 12 people and cost is $34/person on Saturday (Not a Champagne Brunch) or Sunday, September 16 and this is the Champagne Brunch cruise at $36/person tax & tip included.
Both cruise times are 11:30 depart on the Riverboat and return at 1:30pm. Both cruises offer a full bar service with restrooms on board.
The Saturday boat does not have any persons signed up to date, so it may not go out unless there are reservations booked. Sunday boat is going out and they do have persons with reservations. (As of August 18, 2018) Book reservations asap at 800-468-4222.
Please keep in mind that the School Tours will be held on Saturday at 2:30pm, 3:15pm & 4pm.
Ron Larson will be opening the schools for our tours. Based on previous survey the times are as follows; 2:30pm New High School,
3:15pm Middle School (old HS) 4pm - Grade School. Please respond which schools you wish to tour so we can make sure Ron doesn’t miss you.
Saturday, September 15 - Cimino’s Pizza & Restaurant in downtown Pec knows we’re coming and is blocking off the bar area for us from 5pm – 7pm so we make sure we have seating for our classmates. The restaurant is open to the public and the bar area will be open to the public after 7pm. Everyone is on their own for dinner and drinks.
Please contact me and let me know if you are coming to Cimino’s on Saturday. Cimino’s would like to know approximate number of classmates that will be attending. Also, since we are graduates of Pec they are not charging any fees for our “Meet & Greet”.
Golf Outing at Westlake – Only 2 persons have signed up for the Golf Outing on Saturday, September 15 at 9am. 9 holes, shot gun start with cart $20. Contact me asap if wanting to play.
