2018 Restaurants & Events

Thanks to Tim Cothren and his Annual Meet and Greet Event on Friday night in downtown Peekskill, as well as the Tailgating Party for the Homecoming Football Game at Depew Park on Saturday afternoon, we are now announcing the plans for both Friday evening and Saturday of Columbus Day Weekend.

Friday Night Event:

There is no formal event, but as always, here are a list of several restaurants in downtown Peekskill or fairly close by.  I have provided the restaurant names, addresses, phone numbers and websites, if there is one, for your convenience.  It is highly and strongly recommended that you call and make reservations at whichever restaurant you choose.  Once dinner is over, please plan on mingling in the streets or perhaps go into the bars of other restaurants as Peekskill will be filled with hundreds of people who are either attending our reunion, or coming for Tim's Alumni weekend.  You are sure to run into people you haven't seen in years or even see all the time.  It is a fun-filled evening.

As of today, August 29th, it is my pleasure to announce that with the help of Tim Cothren securing the permits, we will be putting our deejay, Ricardo and Company, on the street Friday night from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  There literally will be Dancing In The Street!

Here are the restaurants.  I am also going to try to create a page where people can let others know they are interested in such and such restaurant and looking to get a table or two together.  This way, people who might be returning for the first time can see where their old friends might be dining.  We do want to break the ice and make sure everyone is happy and comfortable.  Even if you do not want to eat dinner downtown, please come just to interact and perhaps have a drink or two with old friends.

Tim Cothren will be hosting the annual Alumni Weekend in Peekskill this Columbus Day

Friday night, October 5, 2018  Meet and Greet in downtown Peekskill from 7:30 pm to 11pm.

Tim will get the city to close Division Street (Restaurant Row) and we can all party in the streets of our hometown! Please support all of the businesses and restaurants downtown, make reservations early if you need them. This is a free event, spend whatever you want wherever you want. Most people having dinner will want to reserve tables starting at 6:00 p.m. so that there is plenty of time to mingle in the street afterwards.

Saturday, October 6, 2018 from12:00 pm to 5pm Tailgate Picnic at Depew Park at the gazebo on Lake Mitchell.

This is a BYO food and drink picnic.  There are a few charcoal grills available and small tabletop grills are permitted. There is electric for crockpots and there will be a sharing table for those that wish to bring extra food. Tim will have an alcohol permit in place, but PLEASE BE LEGAL, BE RESPONSIBLE and BE DISCREET!  There will be a sign in table for wristbands to participate in this event. The good news is that the Varsity Football team WILL be having a home game that day!!  Please note that Tim has been waiting to hear from the school and they have informed him that PHS will be playing Pleasantville that day, not sure of the time yet.

There will be other sporting events in the morning (hoping to have 2 soccer games that morning), Tim will announce those details as they come in. These events are rain or shine and open to ALL graduating classes, to friends and family of PHS Alumni.

Please share this, spread the word and make your plans, this has been a great time in the past and should be lots of fun. So come out, hang out and relive those glory days while reconnecting with our collective past. I will update with any new information as it comes in. Get ready and Go Red Devils!

Saturday Evening

There are no formal plans for Saturday evening other than I am pretty sure people will still come into town for dinner and see who is around.

Ray Blue, from the class of 1968, will be playing at The Bean Runner.  There is a cost of $15.00 to see the show and reservations are strongly advised as they are limited to 75 people.  Please contact the Bean Runner for details.
