I just received word from Bruce Pappas that Scott Knapp passed away yesterday.  I am truly sorry to hear this.  May he rest eternally in peace.

AGE: 66 • Peekskill

Donald "Scott" Knapp a life-long resident of Peekskill, NY passed away on September 22, 2017. He was 66 years old. Donald is survived by his wife, Catherine of Peekskill, the love of his life for 47 years and two children; daughter Jennifer Horne and her husband, Gary of Garrison and a son, Kyle Knapp and his wife, Kimberly (Grimes) of Peekskill. Also survived by a granddaughter, Taylor Horne, a brother, Ronnie Kosilla and wife Dubbie of Wappingers Falls as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren. Predeceased by his brother Jimmy, Mim (mom) and Bubi (dad).

He was born on August 26, 1951 in Peekskill to Ronald and Mildred Morgan Kosilla. On July 3, 1970 he married Catherine Lent at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Scott began working at Saint Joseph's Home at the age of 16 until they closed. Scott then worked for Cardinal McCloskey Community Services in Valhalla as a Program Director. Scott had a passion for basketball at a young age. He enjoyed attending and supporting Peekskill High School's basketball program. He also enjoyed owning Kyle's Pub with his family for the past twenty years. Before Kyle's Pub he tended bar at Chuck & Oley for 25 years. His kindness, compassion and quick wit will be truly missed.

Visitation is Monday, 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Scott Knapp to the Peekskill PBA for the Peekskill Youth Academy.
