Obituary for Gary Neidhardt

Gary Neidhardt, age 65, of Davison, died Mon. Sept. 5, 2016. He was born in Peekskill, NY on Oct. 28, 1950 to Franklin and Pauline (Baldino) Neidhardt. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from GM Buick City in Flint. Gary received a heart transplant at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor 18 1/2 years ago and was the 2nd patient to receive a L-VAD device at U of M. He is survived by his wife Kathy; 2 children, Gary James (Dawn Marie) Neidhardt of OH and Nicole Ann Neidhardt of Rochester Hills; 3 grandchildren, Melissa, Gary, and Faith; sisters and brothers, Sharon Fischer of CA, Frank J. (Terry) Neidhardt of FL, Carl (Robin) Neidhardt of NY, and Pauline Niggl of OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Kurt and Eric Neidhardt. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Military Honors and burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 8:30 -9:30 AM Friday. Memorial donations may be given to the family for a memorial fund that will be chosen at a later date. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com
