Jack J. Oswald

Beacon - Oswald, Jack J. of Beacon, entered into rest Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his home. He was 67.

Born September 8, 1949 in Peekskill, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Elnora Wilke Oswald.

Jack was a retired Corrections Officer for Fishkill Correctional Facility and a U.S. Army veteran, serving as an M.P. during the Vietnam era.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Mandl Oswald at home, his son Mark Bauer (Gina) of Fishkill, his daughter Ashley Bartlett (Tim) of Albany, his two granddaughters Victoria Bauer and Samantha Bauer both of Fishkill, his two nieces Dyane Oswald and Becky Oswald, his nephew Bobby Oswald and his sister-in-law Vicky Oswald, as well as several cousins.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Edward Oswald.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, where at 8:00 PM services will follow.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 2678 South Rd. #103 Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or to Castle Point VAMC 41 Castle Point Rd. Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.

Jack was one of those guys that always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart.  I was very sad to hear of his passing.  May he Rest In Peace eternally.
