Reunion Highlights

20th Year Reunion

Thank you to all the classmates that made this years reunion a success.

Hope to see you at the 25th.

Pictures From the Tour:   We kicked off the reunion with a get together and tour of the high school.  Many things have changed, and yet, so much still the same.  There is no longer a jr/sr high, but rather an A,B,C wing... the administration was clever in putting air conditioning only in the B wing where the library resides.  The white statue of Abraham Lincoln is now painted, or as one of the kids said, "he's black now" and there are 3 life sized metal knights can be found in the hallways.  There is a new field house that encases a wrestling room on the top floor and a stateof the art weight room in the lower level.  All in all, the academic standards have been enhanced to include several AP studies as well as a new grading system striving for excellence among the students with anything lower then a 70, now failing.  The students achievements are on display, not only in the glass cases, but throughout the  halls of the school...and there are many.  There are more senior priviledges and places to go (without having to sneak out of school to go to Black's during study hall).  Many changes have  occurred over the 20 years, but the one thing that hasn't changed is the Green Knight Pride.  Winners of prizes were as follows:  Cindy (Norris) Kocher- Mums, donated by Albanese Green House and The Original Green Turtle t-shirt; Geri Kay (Johnson) Heimbach- Mums,  donated by Albanese Green House; Becci Basso- Sneakerking gift certificate.

Pictures From the Picnic:  Sunday, classmates and their families came out to Bushkill Twsp. Athletic Fields to continue the reunion festivities.  We actually entrusted the cooking to Lyle Turner and Mike Roth...and we survived it.There was a bean bag competition, won by Dan Albanese, and a frisbee throw, won by Kellie Noble and Shanon (Marsh) Hall's husband, Rob (although the winner for the best throw of the day, if you can call it that, was Dan Albanese's wife, Steph with the backward throw...lol).  The kids got into the action, as well, and had a bean bag throw competition of their own, along with a fisbee throw and a candy hunt.  All winners recieved an extra chance to win a prize during the chinese auction of donations.  Winners included: Becci Basso's boyfriend, Mike-The Original Green Turtle t-shirt; Mike Roth's wife, Jen- 80's 3-CD pack; Wade Johnson-Sal's Pizza gift certificate; Rachel Yetter- Anthony's Pizza gift certificate; and Kellie Noble Advanced Auto Parts car wash bucket set.

Pictures From the Dinner: After the game/tour on Saturday, classmates and their spouses/ significant others met up at the Timberline Inn for a night of catching up with old friends, Pen Argyl High trivia, and 80's TV trivia.  Everyone scattered to use their resources to find out the answers to Mike Roth's "test", and even called in the troops of Tracey (Lakey) Snyder to help..although, she gave the wrong answer.  Ginger (Nicholasen) Fleming entertained us by twirling a bandfront hatchet, as we all took a journey down memory lane with the Class of 1988's picture video made by Mike Roth and his wife, Jennifer.  Winners of prizes are as follows:  Wade Johnson- Hartman's Family Restaurant gift certificate; Lyle Turner- Bed Bath and Beyond gift certificate; Rachel (Yetter) Singer- J&R Steakhouse gift certificate and Passion Nails gift certificate; Leigh (Miller) Ehrlich cleaned up house with Detzi's Tavern gift certificate, Fall wreath; and the grand prize of a 2 night stay at the Comfort Suites in Ocean City Maryland along with a gift certificate from The Original Green Turtle.
