Douglas Knopp Passed away 8/19/09. He went all eight years to Creighton and graduated from Olney in 1969. He was 58 years old. He was my best friend. May he rest in peace.

Dougle and I were friends growing up. We played basketball together at the desert.
Dougle had a great sence of humer and could always make me laugh.
Gary "Gears" Meister (1970)
Dougle and Steven were my friends from the R + W days. I had some of the most funnest times with those two. I'll never forget the time in 71 or 72 when 4 of us decided to drive to some Rock Festival in the Mountains somewhere. Talk about a long strange trip that was. Dougle, Steven, Head ( Ricky Mitchell ) and myself ( Gears ). We drove for days not knowing where the hell we were going. Never did find any Rock Concert. The very next day after we made it home, Dougle's Road Runner died. I used to bring them out Raw Hamburger sandwhiches when they would come up from the Desert after another night in a tent. We all loved them sandwhiches. After losing touch for about 30 years we met up again in AA and made some meetings together. He spoke for me and I spoke for him. God had other plans for them and called them home...
