Ronnie Metter was in my elementary school class at FS Edmonds and Leeds Jr. High. He was very popular; invited to all the parties that were going on. Very handsome and "cool" (haven't used that word in a while!).
I heard he became an attorney. Does anyone else know more about him?
Ronnie was married to once to my neighbor. He has two daughters. Ronnie suffered from bipolar disease. He died from cancer. A lawyer friend of mine was good friends with him and they often gave each other clients.
Ronnie Metter was one of the first guys to befriend me when I arrived at Leeds JH. He was the epitome of cool and we were tight right through to graduating from GHS. He was in his own words "cool as a bear". I am sorry to hear of his passing.
Ronnie Metter was my best "male" friend since Leeds. He would always eat dinner at our house. For years he took my father to the baseball games for "Father's Day". After we were both divorced our children would play together once in awhile. He was a great friend a very important part of my teenage memories. We drifted apart when we were in our mid-30's...I always knew of his illness. He had great parents and I remember his younger brother. Remember the big green 4 door buick he used to drive (it was his mom's).?? I always think of him and do miss him. I could have used his kind of friendship many times over the years.. Oh yes, he was very cool...
