Hello Classmates,

    After a long search for a place to hold our reunion, the reunion committee has settled on holding the reunion at Ilona Keller's Dugans Banquet Hall. Dugan's is located at 7900 Roosevelt Blvd. Philadelphia, PA. 19152. The date for the reunion will be November 27, 2010. This is the saturday after Thanksgiving. This date was decided upon because we believed that it would be helpful for those who do not live in Philly to make one trip back to the city, if they are coming to visit family during Thanksgiving. For those who are coming out of town there is a Four Point Sheraton located not to far away from Dugan's. The Four Point Sheraton is located at 9461 Roosevelt Blvd. Philadelphia, PA. 19114. The ticket price for the reunion has not been decided upon just yet, but we will have a price for the tickets in less than two weeks. As soon as the price of the tickets are decided upon it will be posted on this site. To give you some ideal the price should range from $60.00 to $75.00 per person. However, we will be holding a few fundraisers to defray the cost of the tickets. So it is possible that they could be less than $60.00 depending on the turnout we receive at these fundraisers. We are developing a fundraiser right now that will be taking place in March. As soon as it is finalized all information for the fundraisers, reunion, and other events will be posted on this site, and on facebook.

    Again, with the technology available to us today, the reunion committee will be advertising the reunion, on radio, television, (access channel), social websites, (i.e. facebook, myspace, twitter, etc.) but the best advertising is done by word of mouth. Pass this information on to all that you know. Also those from other classes at MLK are welcome too. This is the class of 1980's event and will be centered and themed around our class, but if others want to come they are welcome too. Again, get the word out, and let's have a successful reunion.
