I met Howard when we rode in the same car to day camp so many years ago, long before we ever sat in a class together. We were last in touch a couple of years ago, via e-mail, which was delightful. Rest in peace, my friend. I will miss you.
Howard was my best friend from elementary school through high school. He was the smartest person that I've met in my life and one of the most real and caring people. He will be missed.
