He was awesome!  Such a dear friend--was hoping to see  him again.

Words cannot describe my reaction to learning about Jim's death.  There are so many wonderful memories, it's hard to know where to begin.  Certainly, one very humorous moment was our Latin class play with Jim in a toga and black eye, speaking this line with a gusto that satisfied even Ms. McCloskey, "Nos Taratoni fumagatores malimus portior quam vertere!"  PS - spelling doesn't count!

Requiesce in pace, mi amice.

So sad.  He was such a good guy.

Ahh, Jimmy, I'm shocked; can't believe it. I can hear you laughing, sporting that crooked grin - at everything. You'll be missed.

I seem to remember that EVERYONE who knew Jim liked him.  I'm sure this was some help in his becoming our class President.  I saw him a few times in the early seventies, at Temple, when I was in grad school and Jim was in law school.  There were always brief but friendly conversations.  Fortunately, for me, he had not yet taken the courses that taught him how to charge clients by the minute, so I never received any bills for his time.
